Fall is in the Air!!!!
The first day of Fall! Where did the summer
go? So much has happened since I last posted to this blog. Number one thing------I'm a Nana again to a sweet little
baby girl, Amelia Ann. She has beautiful dark hair and is such a good baby. The boys love her and Renee is glad
there is another female in the house.
When I posted last, we were getting ready to go to clown camp and
do a back to school bash for Harmony Baptist Church. I am happy, no gloriously happy to annouce both were a success.
The back to school bash at Harmony had an attendance of 3,000 (in the pouring rain). There were 97--yes 97---souls won
to the Lord! I am so glad the Lord allowed us this opportunity to be a part of adding souls to His kingdom. Camp
was great as well, another back to school event, nursing home and cancer treatment center visits, concert, classes, learning
to play the pan-jo, balloon classes, and on and on......
August was such a busy month, camp, new grandaughter,
nursing home visits, book signings--Whew! I needed a vacation but September has been just as busy. We have added
Fanklin Woods Community Hospital to our list of places to volunteer and look forward to meeting new friends & making others
smile.
Now October is almost here, Hopefully cool days are ahead as we do some Fall Festivals, book signings,
Fall bible study and our regular visits to nursing homes and hospitals. I am looking forward to serving God who
paints such a beautiful array of rich, warm hues of browns, ambers, oranges, greens and golds for us to enjoy. In the
chill of the air, His marvelous love will surround me with warmth. Today as I was with Julie for a doctor's appointment, I
was reminded how good God has been to me. He has blessed me more than I could ever deserve. I have lived not only
to see my children grow in the grace of God, but now I have the privilege to bask in the joy of being a Nana.
What a mighty God I serve!
I hope you all are enjoying this season in your life. May God give you
special blessings this Fall!
