Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a great
summer. I know I am. The time is going by so fast, before you know it school will start, Halloween, Turkey and Thanksgiving,
Christmas......Oh well, let's enjoy this "heat" while we can! It has been in the 90's for quite a while and
wearing clown makeup has been a challenge in this heat. When I see a smile on a face or get a hug, it is definitely
worth putting up with some discomfort. A big thank you to all who prayed for our little grandson Alan while he was sick.
He is doing great, back to his sweet little happy self. This month has already been so busy. Queenie & I were
on WCYB-TV Channel 5 a few days ago to promote our ministry. I don't have a video yet, but will add it on soon.
GREAT NEWS!!!! We just finished orientation and will be event visitors for the first time this
August at the Niswonger Children's Hospital. This is something we have been praying for and God has opened the door
(funny story behind that-for another blog). We are also going to be going to the new Franklin Woods Community Hospital
in Johnson City. That will make a total of 8 nursing homes, 2 assisted living facilities and 5 hospitals a month where
we are blessed to be volunteers. Please remember our nursing home patients this month when you pray. So many of
them are lonely, no families and have a difficult time. There are times we go and find out that one of our patients has
passed away. That is a difficult time for us and especially for their loved ones. It is so easy to get attached
to these sweet loving people who are no longer able to care for themselves. If you get a chance go to your local nursing
home, ask to be a volunteer. The rewards will always outweigh your excuse for not going.
Well, it won't be long until we welcome a new baby grand-daughter. I will keep everyone posted. And in just a
few weeks we will be leaving for TNT University (clown camp). We hope to learn some new skills, relax, share ideas and
get revived to clown for Jesus!
