Just wanted to let all my friends know that in April 2012 there will be a new edition to our family.  Jimmy (my son) and his wife Sabrina are expecting a baby!! We are so excited and I wanted to share this wonderful news with all of you.  They told us in a very unique way--by video.  I am getting ready for church tonight so I will try to upload the video later.  It is amazing!  God is SO GOOD!! ALL THE TIME!!  Se ya soon!

My goodness!!!  How long has it been?  I am so sorry for not posting sooner!  There have been so many things going on in our clown lives and in our personal lives.  We have defenitely had a very busy spring & summer with visits to nursing homes, hospitals, community events & clown camp. 

I have had a few health problems, but nothing the Lord couldn't handle.  Thank you Jesus for always caring about me!!

I do have some sad news to report.  Our "Queenie" lost her husband in July after 52 years of marriage.  It has certainly been a hard blow to her.  Please remember her in your prayers and the S.S. Clowners as we try to uplift her spirits.  She is continuing with our group but it is a very difficult time for her.

Now a little about clown camp.  It was great!  We took part in the Home Town Clowning track this year and thoroughly enjoyed Angel Contraras as our teacher.  If you need some clown artwork done, he is the guy.  His website is www.art4clowns.com.  We learned that at Home Town clown is a real good clown! And what it means to be a real good clown.  We had a wonderful time at the auction that benefits clown missions and won the bid for a night with Normando & Flo (Norm Barnhart & Steve Conely as Flo).  They were a hoot!

We purchased a new Maijaloon balloon pump and I am anxious to try it out at our next event.  I learned some new balloons & we worked on our face painting skills.  Glitter tattoos are a hit with the kids and we are doing them more & more.

We are also getting ready to participate with our church this coming weekend in some disaster relief efforts in Greeneville, TN.  They are still rebuilding after the spring tornados.  Please remember our group & others that will be helping.

Verse for our nation:  "Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, & after you have done everything to stand."  Ephesians 6:13

Now more than ever, we need to be armed with God's truth.

Well, here I am again!  Ready for Spring!  We have had beautiful weather in East Tennessee the last few days.  Maybe, just maybe winter is behind us.  I know everyone is excited about spring tine.  But isn't it great how God makes a time for us to rest our spirit, body and mind only to let us be refreshed and ready to burst forth with renewal?  I am ready to get busy for Him again this Spring!  How about you?

We had a fantastic time at Show Me Clowns for Jesus Conference in Springfield, Missouri.  The staff was great.  We learned so much and were renewed to go forward.  The classes and teachers were great.  The devotions and message inspirational and relevant.  Everyone (including other students) was helpful and had such a sweet spirit of Jesus.  Thank you Dana & Jane and the task force for all your hard work and the love your poured into this conference.  We could feel your prayers for us before we even reached the conference.

I learned some new twists & turns in ballooning.  And I have ordered a new balloon bag, called a "busking bag" from Twist 'Em Up Balloons.  It is really cool and I am so excited.  For those of us who don't want an apron this is a great alternative.  It is round, comes in various sizes, has some outside pockets and a shoulder strap.  It can also just be placed on a table next to you.  I think it will work great for me.  Check it out.  I will post a picture when I receive mine.

We are also now practicing our Glitter Tattoos.  I think this will be a great alternative and addition to our face painting and balloons.  They are really neat and will last 3 to 7 days.

So much information!  Wooooo!  We are back on schedule with our nursing homes and hospitals after we have missed so much due to weather conditions.  Can't wait to see my patients this week,  Continue to pray for us as we travel and call or e-mail if you need me or our group to come to your next event!  See ya soon!
